Recently closed
Closed a tab by mistake? Get it back in one click.
Every tab and window you close is kept in Recently closed, alongside your browsing history, newest first. Open History Monk, click the page, and it opens again.
The last tab you closed is on top. No hunting through a long list.
Search your closed tabs. Type a word and only the matching tabs stay.
See tabs from your other devices. In Chrome, the Devices view lists what's open on your other signed-in computers and phones.
Other devices
Browser history from different devices. Phone, tablet and laptop in one list.
Started reading on your phone? History Monk shows the tabs open on every device signed in to the same Chrome sync account, grouped by device and newest first. Search them by title or address, then open the page right here.
Grouped by device. Each phone, tablet and computer gets its own list, with the time every tab was last used.
Search across devices. Type a word and only the matching tabs from every device stay.
Uses the sync you already have. No extra account. Works with Chrome sync; Firefox doesn't share other devices' tabs with extensions.
Delete by site
Bulk delete history of a whole website. Every page, in one go.
Shopping for a surprise, or just done with a site? Open Sites, tick the ones you want gone and press Delete. Every page from those sites is removed from your browsing history, including older visits you can't see on screen.
One site or fifty at once. Shift-click to tick a range, ⌘A to tick every site.
Or right from the page you're on. Right-click any page or link and choose Delete all history of this site.
Nothing goes without your OK. Deleting a site always asks first, and sites on your protected list can never be removed.
Export
Export browsing history to CSV, JSON or HTML. Only the pages you need.
Search or filter first, then export just those results, or a whole Cleanup group. CSV opens in Excel and Google Sheets, JSON is ready for your own scripts, and the HTML file is a page you can search and sort offline.
Export what you filtered. Use site:, after: or any search, and only the matching pages go into the file.
The same five columns every time. Title, URL, site, last visited and visit count.
Made on your computer. The file is created in your browser and saved to Downloads. Nothing is uploaded.
History by group
Browsing history grouped by search. Every page it led to, in one card.
Searched for flights, then opened a few results? By group keeps that search and the pages you opened from it together, newest first. Search the groups, reopen one or clear it from your browsing history.
One card for each search. Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, YouTube and dozens more, with no setup.
Open the whole search again. Open N pages brings every page back in a new tab group.
Delete a search and its pages. Two clicks, and pages you also visited at other times stay.
Cleanup
Clear out the junk pages. Keep the ones you need.
Browsing history fills up with search pages, sign-in screens and links you clicked once. Cleanup sorts them into 24 groups for you. Look inside a group, then delete it with two clicks.

FAQ
Before you install.
Does History Monk upload my history?
No. It reads your browsing history through the browser's history API and searches it inside the extension page. There's no account and no analytics. The only network requests it makes are to verify a license key and to look up the current price.
Which browsers does it work in?
Chrome, Edge and Opera, plus Firefox 140 and later. In Chrome, Edge and Opera it replaces the built-in history page, so the History menu and its shortcut open History Monk. In Firefox, open your browsing history in History Monk from the toolbar button or with Alt+Shift+H.
How far back can it search?
As far back as your browser keeps browsing history. Chrome keeps about 90 days. History Monk loads the most recent 100,000 pages in the range you pick, and the first 2,000 are searchable before the rest finish loading.
Can I undo a delete?
No. Browsers can't restore deleted browsing history, for any extension. That's why Cleanup shows every page in a group before you delete, waits for a second click to confirm, and never touches sites on your protected list.
Will it slow down my browser?
No. It has no content scripts, so it never runs inside the pages you visit. It only does work while its history page is open.
What happens when the trial ends?
History Monk keeps working for 3 opens a day. A license removes the limit and lets you delete from Cleanup.
Does it show tabs from my other devices?
In Chrome, yes. The Devices view lists the tabs open on your other devices signed in to the same Chrome sync account, next to the tabs you recently closed on this one. Firefox doesn't offer this to extensions.
